The Chamber partners with four resources that assist new and exisiting businesses:

Transylvania County Economic Development- Assists you in starting, growing or re-locating your business. They can direct you to over 20 federal, state, regional and local organizations that can assist your business. Blue Ridge Community College Small Business Center- The Small Business Center is open by appointment to provide free counseling, referrals, analyses, evaluations and business planning assistance for prospective and existing smal business owners in Transylvania County. The Center's satellite office is located on the Transylvania County campus on the Asheville Highway. Mountain Microenterprise Fund- Located in Asheville, the Fund uses the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce Conference Room to hold classes. They offer a 21-hour business planning course (3 hours a week for 7 weeks). Create your own business plan in a comfortable learning environment. The plan turns your dreams, experiences and skills into practical, doable steps for starting or expanding a business and running it profitably. SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives)- SCORE is a small business management counseling service provided by experienced business executives who volunteer their time and expertise to local small businesses and those interested in starting a business. SCORE meets in the Chamber of Commerce Conference Room on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. To make an appointment, call (828) 883-3325.
